Business Problem Analysis
BUSINESS PROBLEM ANALYSIS The purpose of your paper is to inform your supervisor of a problem in your company or at your place of work. You will not offer any possible solutions for the problem in this paper. You want your supervisor to know that you are willing to further research the problem to determine alternative solutions and a final recommendation. Determination of a Problem Pick one problem situation that could conceivably apply to your company, even though it might not be a problem at this time and might not be one that would fall within the domain of your current department. At first you may say you can’t think of a problem; but when you look closely enough, you can always find situations that may be accepted but are unproductive. Required Elements Include an Introduction, the three content areas named below, and a conclusion to your paper. Introduction– Provide an introductory paragraph that includes the purpose of your paper and previews your content areas (using parallel headings) for your audience. Symptoms of the Problem–Why do you think the company has a problem? Describe the symptoms that lead you to this conclusions. Effects of the Problem– What are the effects of these symptoms on the company. Causes of the Problem— Analyze the situation to determine the exact problem. The instigating problem is the cause of the symptoms that you see. Try to determine what is causing the problem situation. Conclusion — Summarize with a problem statement that concisely states the effect and cause of the problem situation
