Boston: Cengage Learning 1)    Do you believe there should be a global standard for business?  If so, who should set that standard?  Why?  What is your reasoning for supporting or rejecting the idea?   2)    In what ways do business practices and standards differ from country to country?  What are the ethical issues in dealing in the international arena?   3)    What standard should U.S. businesses adopt in relationships with overseas suppliers, customers, employees, etc…?  Why?   4)    International Business and You : What responsibilities do U.S. Businesses have for overseeing the practices of OTHER firms with whom  they do business?  How far do those responsibilities reach?  For example, Is Nike responsible for the practices of the contractors who make its shoes?  What about for the practices of the textile firms that make the cloth that is used to make those shoes?  What about the practices of the farmers who grow the cotton used to make the cloth used to make those shoes?  What responsibilities do you as a consumer have to enforcing ethical principles in other countries?  (Is that blood on your shirt?)
