Hospitality Current Event
Current Event Discussion Overview The filed of hospitality is very broad and constantly changing. For this reason, keeping up with the latest trends and research in hospitality is very important. This portion of your evaluation offers an opportunity for keeping up with the ever-changing field of hospitality. You can use the discussion board, “Current Event Discussion Fall 2020” which involves participating in it through comments, posts, etc. See below for more detail on this option. Submission Guidelines: Throughout the semester, you should feel free to post various articles, links, videos, ideas, etc. on our discussion board (or online forum) entitled, “Current Event Discussion Fall 2020.” Students can comment on these posts as appropriate and feel free to post things that will lead to further discussion. Your input will be graded on the quantity and quality of your activity on the discussion board. More specifically, each student will share/post at least two articles, links, or videos relevant to current events in hospitality throughout the semester, one due on Oct 21 and the other on Dec 2. As long as you upload two posts with good quality of content by using the “create thread” option on Blackboard, you’re eligible to receive the highest score in this portion of your grade (10%/100%). Simply put, you don’t have to post more than two current events to receive higher grades. No word limits for your post. The source of your posts must be recent (within one year). Be sure to attach a copy of your article, web link, or video (YouTube link) to your posts. I will leave an informal comment to your posts as a confirmation of receiving your submissions.
