This assignment is based on the reading of King Lear by William Shakespeare – specifically the entire ACT FOUR AND FIVE of the play. Act four and five have various scenes that go along with it. You must read the entire act four and five, so all it’s scenes before you go on to answer a question about act four and five. Also, read the synopsis and the character list to familiarize yourself. The question should receive a full response to it, answering the prompt question in-depth, along with TEXTUAL EVIDENCE (QUOTES) from acts 4 & 5 that supports your words. The response should be a well-developed paragraph or more – whatever you feel is right – as long as the question is fully answered with quotes and strong analysis! strong analysis of the question and quote! The structure should be, the question and then the answer. NOTE – When citing Shakespeare plays, list the ACT, SCENE, and LINES in parenthetical citations (page numbers are NOT included), separated by periods. Enclose the citation in parentheses. For example: (Macbeth 1.3.14-17) refers to Act 1, Scene 3, Lines 14 to 17 of Macbeth.
